Several people have commented on the similarities in style between JAM’s “Magic Music” and Emison’s “Sunshine Sound” for Beacon 303.

Here are some of the cuts side-by-side to show how similar the musical styles often are. The later ones, I admit, are a bit more tenuous – simply a similar instrument or vocal phrasing. I’ve also included a Back Seat Music cut which sounded similar to the Beacon weekend track.

I`ve been meaning to do a montage like this for a while – you`ve picked some good examples of how these jingles all sound similar. Well spotted too, regarding the Back Seat Music cut. With me being a geordie, I was gonna do a montage with the Metro Radio cuts ! – as you know it`s the same Emison package as Beacon 303.
