To those who posted the unscoped versions of Jon’s November 4th show, thanks in advance for that. Although I’ll wait a bit longer for the scoped ones when available before I download the unscoped files.

I wanted to make another comment about one of Jon’s past shows. I just got through the 9/9/18 show that reran on 9/30, and towards the end of the show was a request for WGAR’s “Class Action” jingles, especially cut 11. Cut 11 by itself doesn’t bother me; it’s the extended bed before it that some stations used that bothers me a bit as I write. I have an audio example of what I’m talking about: http://jingles.jeremyrichardson.com/audio/wichita1994.mp3 (it’s profiled towards the end of the montage, and it was for KEYN-FM at that time)

My question is, has anyone dared to request that particular element of “Class Action” cut 11 before the actual sung jingle itself? I certainly hope not…

Why does that bother you Diana? It is the stager bed that was used on WGAR. And yes if buy CA#11 you can request the
matching stager from JAM. I bought it for WNCI Columbus and used it as a stager for “70’s Saturday Night”. I think it works
best as a bed for pre-recorded announcer copy into CA#11, not for talk over as on the aircheck but everyone has a different idea.

We used that Class Action stager at KOOL in Phoenix. LOVED it! So much so, in fact, we even tagged OTHER jingles with it at the top hour.

Hmmmmm… any audio examples of CA#11 used on air aside from the one I profiled? I know Suffolk County’s “Oldies 98.1” uses the stager bed in a pre-recorded announcement (and they used that jingle cut for the TOH as far as I know), and SiriusXM’s 70s on 7 uses that cut still, but the live announcers talk over the staging bed.

Not sure about how it was used for KOOL-FM in Phoenix though, as I don’t recall hearing it on an aircheck in the past.

Logodave: I just worry that the CA#11 staging bed would be used the “wrong” way, i.e. letting it go on and on in the clear without hitting the actual sung jingle properly (or other jingles that “fit” the top of the hour). My jingle imagination has gone wild while it shouldn’t be…

Gameswizard: thanks for posting the link to the scoped November 4th aircheck of Jon’s show. Saves me the trouble from having to download the unscoped versions – which could serve as backup copies in a way. Haven’t listened live to his shows lately and won’t be able to check in this coming Sunday for the next one.

Had a listen to Jon’s show (11-11-2018) from the second hour in, and it was good. Didn’t get to the Radio Nova segment you mentioned, gameswizard, but I have heard many of the Radio Nova cuts from other sites so I have a general idea in what Jon “might” have profiled.

I’ll have to wait though for the scoped audio file of that show as the “upload.ee” site is not safe for me to use (but I can use Dropbox though).

Regarding the November 4th broadcast, I DID NOT expect Jon’s Emergency Action Test segment to come about, but it was interesting to say the least. Good show as always though!

I’m in the USA and sometimes Jinglemad does not come through on the internet.
It has become a very unreliable connect. Are we about to lose this website???

I’m able to get the JingleMad site just fine, no major issues. Could it be a server issue at your end, logodave? Are you using Google Chrome? I know that Google Chrome doesn’t work too well with the Jinglemad site as far as I know…
