>Phew! I’m glad it wasn’t just me. I was rather gutted when I checked the show this morning.
The recorded stream was “broken” into 11 pieces & what bits were recorded contained skips during playback. Whatever caused this problem, I hope it’s fixed for next week.June 16, 2020 at 12:57 am #105056glenI heard just one break in the stream. I thought it was just my receiver.
Maybe Jon can help us out.June 16, 2020 at 5:14 am #105057nleiboAccording to Jon:”Rewound Radio: There was no issue at the Rewound Radio source”. I’m guessing that means Jon’s Studio (“the source”)–but what of “Rewound Radio” itself?

http://www.jingles.com/audio/rr/rewound-20200614-sc.mp3Even with the music cut out it’s still 2 hours long!
I’m sorry to hear that some of you had trouble with the stream on Sunday. My recording of the show was made from the same stream and it had no buffering issues at all. That means that the audio made a round-trip from Dallas to New York and back with no problems. Perhaps some server somewhere in the world was having trouble keeping up with the demands of the internet that day. Either that, or so many people wanted to hear my show on Rewound Radio that we broke the internet! -jmw
June 16, 2020 at 8:46 am #105060nleiboThe show had more drop-outs than Arthur Fonzarelli High School..

June 17, 2020 at 5:04 pm #105064AnonymousHeres a grab of the stream (copy, not recorded since that would recompress).
A little bit of de-clipper and a bit of peak-reconstruct.
I havent listened to this file, so I dont know if there is drop-outs in it. The “listeningstream” I heard had dropouts, but this file seems to be complete. Please comment if it aint.Running time 3h 11m 22s, (a bit longer that usual)

June 20, 2020 at 11:07 am #105069nleiboThere HAD been some issues at Rewound Radio earlier this week concerning dropouts during “Rewound Radio” overnight segments–I don’t know whether or not they could be related to the dropouts heard last Sunday on Jon’s show–if not, somewhat coincidental…

June 22, 2020 at 9:35 am #105077m_hodgeyMemberThanks for the pointer Duncan regarding the Pulse custom package; I missed this show so will download the scoped version and take a listen.
Although referred to as the “Pulse ‘94” package, it was actually recorded in August 1993.
June 23, 2020 at 9:38 pm #105080ratnobMemberIn Jon’s show last week, there was a fascinating discussion about Tanner’s ‘Portraits’ package. This seems to have passed me by. Does anyone have a copy of them demo they could share?

There have been previous requests for this William B. Tanner demo on JingleMad over the years, and to date, I’ve never come across a copy. It is also missing from the excellent selection of Tanner demos on the JingleSamplers web site: http://jinglesamplers.com/ptdemos.htm
The only cuts I’ve heard from this package are the couple of images songs that Sky Radio ordered from Top Format and which were sung by in Dallas at the JAM studios in 1989. These were additions to the JAM “Omnitrax” full package which Sky Radio ordered in 1988 and were airing at the time.

Hi, Glen
That link isn’t working for me and the suspense is killing me …>
June 26, 2020 at 2:47 pm #105091ratnobMemberThe ‘Memphis’/Tanner episode of Jon’s show reminded me of how Tanner could sometimes produce some absolutely beautiful jingles. I always loved the music and clever lyrics of this ‘Enjoy Yourself’ song:

June 26, 2020 at 9:03 pm #105093glenIt’s working for me. Try going to SC directly. See if that works
June 27, 2020 at 7:57 am #105094IainJohnstonI think its back to the “recent, new problem” of S/C “private”-tagged links coming up as “not valid” here,
but “public”-tagged ones are OK.I queried this with S/C when the problem first arose, but they gave a rubbish answer.
Whether its something in the software used by JM forum or an intrinsic flaw with updated S/c, I don’t know.June 27, 2020 at 11:21 am #105095AdminWe have corrected Glen’s link so that it plays and embeds within the post. The original URL posted was incorrect.
