Speaking of the chat–which this “jingle freak” thoroughly enjoyed–I noticed there was no reverb on Steve’s end–guessing the reverb runs through Jon’s mike only?

You could add reverb to any mics or line inputs on the board – so I’m guessing it was choice on Jon’s part to sound different.

That behavior reminds me of an Apache module called mod_speling. It takes broken links to files in that directory and tries to redirect them to the closest match. Maybe he has implemented something like that on his Rewound directory. I’ll do some testing when I get home from school to see how wide-spread this behavior is on the entire JAM site.

Luckily in a previous professional life, I had to make changes to take account of the US daylight savings time changes enacted in 2007 by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 – so I was aware that we’d have to tune in an hour early. Bonus, I get to go to bed an hour early!

I wasn’t particularly interested in the history of YOU segment overall, but it was a great show. Just commented on another thread about Jon’s “reverse” skill that Duncan Newmarch shared, and that stood out to me throughout the whole broadcast.
