Is this the “WABC” jingle someone mentioned the other week (they thought sounded bad)??

Can’t seem to find the original thread that was posted by someone the other week about some
really bad sounding jingles that WABC in NY is airing, a montage was posted but I don’t believe
this cut was included on it, yet seemed to be singled out by the original poster, who commented
      it sounded really bad.
I would have to agree with him on that.
I think I may have found the cut in question
      was it this jingle? https://soundcloud.com/radioboy1962/mark-levin-wabc-local-jingle-insert-1-13-221
Could this in fact be a JAM cut? It doesn’t sound like one to my ears, but my hearing sure ain’t what it used
to be, so I could be wrong, interested to learn (perhaps from the original poster) if that was the cut in question
and or from anyone who can identify which company may have produced this jingle.

It’s definitely a JAM cut, from Talking Points. The demo version sung with Sean Hannity’s name is cut 7 here. http://jingles.com/jam/radioids/TalkingPoints.php

The vocal mix does admittedly seem a little off compared to the original, or more generally compared to what I’d normally expect from JAM – possibly due to COVID precautions? Then again I’ve heard other recent cuts (such as the Q100.7 Hyperlink resings and some personal cuts posted here) that sound more “normal”. Regardless, it’s certainly not worthy of being compared to fingernails on chalkboard or middle school choirs.

By the way, this was the montage I posted in the last thread. The other newly sung cuts (from the Top News package) came out better IMO.

Late to the party and never saw the orig post, been nice to hear jingles on WABC.
Here are both cuts, the original from 2002 and the re-sing, from presumably the past year.
The vocals on the original are in the center, quite compressed. I only hear a slight difference on these re-sings- the vocals are wider -more airy. I don’t think the call letters were re-sung.
The voice(s) bottom out on ‘radio’ exactly the same even though they removed ‘news’. I like hearing cuts redone after long periods of time, with subtle nuances, updates or just because the singers may have changed.

Hello @koloss Thanks for filling in my “blank” regarding the Top News cuts. While I was a listener to the station back in the early 90’s, don’t recall heating those particular jingles, however when I browsed on over to the JAM
page: https://www.jingles.com/jam/radioids/TopNews.php and listened to a selection of the other cuts from the package, I do recall the cuts for John Gambling, Curtis & Kuby, Malzbery & Bey & Mark Simone, as well as a number of the sounders & beds.

Thanks again for filling in the gap of who created them & from what package they came from.

I don’t remember Sean on WABC in 1992. But he must have been.
BTW Isn’t that a Talktrax cut?
