Lack of (legally) clear contact information etc is just a wee bit concerning.
If its legit, and whoever behind the website is someone “recognisable” to any of us, then that would be very nice.
Otherwise, would suggest “proceed with caution”
Has anyone contacted Simon Prentice to ask if he could shed any light on whether this is legit?
Simon and Steve have had some old Alphasound Jingles resung via S2Blue in the past.
The website states Steve England, who recorded and mixed the vast majority of Alfasound material is still involved in ensuring any new resings are authentic and this would suggest that S2Blue are operating this site.
“Thanks for your interest in Alfasound.
So all resings come with all possible remixes, which depend on the cut (inc tag cuts and acapellas) but not the instrumental bed.
Was there a specific cut you were looking at?
Speak soon,
Simon”
I asked for a resing of the Severn Sound “For the forest, the hills and the valleys” jingle.
Simon has come back to me with pricing information, a single cut costs £350+VAT due the number of singers and the length. Though I have enough money in my bank account, I’d still prefer to wait until I have more money.
So I can confirm that the Alfasound website is legitimate.
A lot of money. And companies offering resings to a wider audience are springing up like mushrooms: T Cuts, Z Cuts, Jingle Works, Vintage Jingles by Top Format, Alfasound. All getting a piece of the cake 🙂
