Anyone else seen this Alfasound
March 22, 2024 at 1:44 pm #110096IainJohnstonMemberAlready spotted.
IP is via a 3rd party, registered in 2020 and updated this week.
Lack of (legally) clear contact information etc is just a wee bit concerning.
If its legit, and whoever behind the website is someone “recognisable” to any of us, then that would be very nice.
Otherwise, would suggest “proceed with caution”March 22, 2024 at 10:39 pm #110099PKMemberHas anyone contacted Simon Prentice to ask if he could shed any light on whether this is legit?
Simon and Steve have had some old Alphasound Jingles resung via S2Blue in the past.March 23, 2024 at 11:27 pm #110102Laotian_12_inMemberS2Blue has just moved to Knutsford, I assume that they moved so St Martin’s Studios could be used for the new Alfasound resings.
March 24, 2024 at 4:28 pm #110105essexmaster247MemberThe website states Steve England, who recorded and mixed the vast majority of Alfasound material is still involved in ensuring any new resings are authentic and this would suggest that S2Blue are operating this site.
S2Blue has just moved to Knutsford, I assume that they moved so St Martin’s Studios could be used for the new Alfasound resings.
I highly doubt that is the reason S2Blue have moved – they’ll be produced wherever S2Blue are based.
Instead of speculating, why not just fill in the contact form and see who responds? Pretty simple.
March 25, 2024 at 5:33 am #110108Laotian_12_inMemberI contacted, here’s what Simon sent me:
“Thanks for your interest in Alfasound.
So all resings come with all possible remixes, which depend on the cut (inc tag cuts and acapellas) but not the instrumental bed.
Was there a specific cut you were looking at?
Speak soon,
Simon”March 26, 2024 at 11:41 pm #110112Laotian_12_inMemberI asked for a resing of the Severn Sound “For the forest, the hills and the valleys” jingle.
Simon has come back to me with pricing information, a single cut costs £350+VAT due the number of singers and the length. Though I have enough money in my bank account, I’d still prefer to wait until I have more money.
So I can confirm that the Alfasound website is legitimate.

March 27, 2024 at 1:19 pm #110120UKJinglesMemberI assume for that sort of price it’s sung by The Dallas Singers? 🤔
March 27, 2024 at 3:17 pm #110122TimSMemberA lot of money. And companies offering resings to a wider audience are springing up like mushrooms: T Cuts, Z Cuts, Jingle Works, Vintage Jingles by Top Format, Alfasound. All getting a piece of the cake 🙂
November 12, 2024 at 5:18 pm #110573Laotian_12_inMemberOkay, Simon has come back to me again with more pricing info – whilst they do not have a price list, he said that standard length resings cost £265+VAT, and each digital delivery of Alfasound generic jingle packages cost £25+VAT.
As far as I know, they are cheaper than personal jingles from JAM/PAMS and TM iJingles, but more expensive than sung jingles from Jingle Works (excl. Radioscape Music).
