Over a year ago, Bruce Upchurch formerly of TM Century decided to open up his new jingle company called “Zone Radio Imaging”. I went to the website and there were plenty of jingles that have the Dallas-sound vocal group, especially for WRAL-FM and KS-95 packages. They did a great job for producing the KEZK package because it is softer and almost all of the cuts in the package sounded like the old KVIL jingles.(1-0-3 point 7 KVIL!!!)
Personally, I do not like the other Zone jingles for mainstream AC like the WRAL-FM package because they are too irrating and the vocal group sounds like they belong to a CHR/Hot AC station. I heard rumors across the forums that Zone could have or will be producing its jingle package for KQXT San Antonio. I just don't like the vocal group when it comes to AC jingles, they are too loud. I prefer Reelworld's, JAM's, or one of Jones TM new packages(Lite 103.7 Dallas, Colorado Lite).
So what do you guys think about Zone?

July 17, 2007 at 1:55 am #31381JingleMadMemberThe roomers are correct, Zone is doing a custom package for KQXT.
Will see though. Zone might be on to something here…
July 17, 2007 at 4:31 am #31382Maya53Hope the new KQXT package don't sound like WRAL's because I can't tolerate the type of vocal group. I rather want an “all-female” sound like Reelworld's to fit with the AC presentation.

July 17, 2007 at 10:17 pm #31417mattii70I think it's fair to say that anything will sound better that what Q101.9 are using at the moment. When they reimaged from Soft Rock 101.9 to Q101.9, they simply chopped off the 'Soft Rock' part of their Reelworld WLIT jingles and carried on using the sung '101.9' part.

I wonder why Zone doesn't do jingles for Oldies/Classic Hits stations…Zone has done oldies syndicated packages (see link below) but that doen't mean that they don't do it . Some stations adapt certain packages for there own market that might exist already on the Zone website. As you know, there is a customer log in area for radio folk to hear the latest updates and new packages so us collectors only see the public version. S2Blue are also a perfect example of this.
Why don't you get in touch with Bruce? I'm sure he would be helpful with your queries and questions and he certainly takes pride in his work…and so he should. If the station and listeners are happy that's the main thing.
