      Rob,

I`ve got some aircheck video from California aircheck in San Diego, which features a station called “W4 Country” – is this the same station these jingles are from ? the video showcases a guy called Michael J. Foxx.

Thanks for sharing the jingles with us jinglemad people………..

Rob, Thanks so much for these. They sound great! It’s cool to hear some Thompson for a change.

“The New WPLJ” resings should sound great as well.

David, I believe that’s the same station. The WWWW calls have always resided in Detroit or Ann Arbor. Michael J Foxx, now in Cleveland, worked at several Detroit stations, including W4.

These jingles are from 102.9 W4 in Ann Arbor. The video aircheck you have is from 106.7 W4, which was in Detroit. The calls are now WDTW. See it on line at http://www.1067thedrive.com

When the format on 106.7 changed from Country to Classic Hits, the call letters WWWW-FM and the country format moved to Ann Arbor to replace failing rock station WIQB. The current website for W4 is http://www.w4country.com

            A bit confusing, I know… but I hope that helps a little.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful jingles. Did you know if you listen to the end of the WLOL Minneapolis demo from reelworld, you can hear a sample of the classic hits jingles done for 106.7 W4? Check em out, they are kind of cool.
