MemberStrange hearing these in better quality Tom!
I deleted my ancient (Napster-era) poor quality copies just a few weeks ago! and I'd first heard the PAMS Series 31 versions on reel-to-reel dub back in the Tom Konard days :^)

MemberAs a college radio DJ, I envy the folks at WUVT for having PAMS and JAM jingles in their archives! Very nice!

Fabulous!! Thank You
These make you WANT to listen to the station, unlike so many offerings today!

You can thank a very good friend of mine who works in radio in Miami for the great quality. He was nice enough to digitize both PAMS 15-ips master tapes on the only still-existing reel-to-reel in the station…just before most of the splices separated from the leader! (PAPER leader in the case of Series 31!)
He was afraid he'd have to put in an order for some ancient item called “splicing tape.” Luckily he found some in a drawer.

I've uploaded montages of the three(!) jingle packages produced for college radio station WUVT because April 1st (or 1 April, if you prefer) marks the 60th anniversary of their first sign-on at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia USA.I'll be headed back there for a big anniversary reunion the weekend of April 11-13.
Meanwhile, please enjoy these montages:

I'm pretty sure it was 1976. I was at WCOG Greensboro after graduation when I purchased them and donated them to the station. I remember a note Jon and Co. sent back saying they did some experimenting with Cut 12 (the slow sig) and they sent the flanged version and two speed-varied mixouts.

Hmmm…. Are there any jingle collectors in South Florida? I'm spending the week down here vacationing in addition to trying to add goodies to the archives.
