And if you’d like to give me a full copyI posted them, actually. They span several reels that haven’t all been transferred to CD. I posted the four basic cuts from the reel that has been dubbed.
Glad you enjoyed them.

Its really nice to listen to a set of jingles that you not heard before that make you go wow! They were pretty unique sounding on the air. WTIC is 20 minutes down the road from me. Still, I preferred when they were blasting out THE ACTUALIZERS (later called “Hot Hits”) when they switched from Classical music to Top 40 in the mid-seventies.
When I locate those cuts (I can’t find the DAT)…I’ll post a few of them.

Did these cuts have a package title /name TC?
February 23, 2005 at 4:40 pm #15372jlehmannLast time I checked, they were still using some of these unique sounding jingles during their 80s show at noon every day. The ones I’ve heard on there aren’t the exact same ones as in the download, but they sound like they would’ve been from the same package.
February 23, 2005 at 10:44 pm #15375RobWalkerMemberI remember TIC FM using jingles that had the same vocal style as these, but were along the lines of popular music. I seem to remember a cut that sounded like a Huey Lewis song?Any ideas Tracy? Think those might be on the “un-dubbed” reels?
(I also remember how wimpy they sounded when I was working across the street at Kiss 95.7 and we were using all the Turbo Z JAM cuts!)

Ya know… I don’t know if they had a name. As I recall, from dubbing some of the reels at the station… the station’s leadered masters were at 30ips w/Dolby encoding. They had Studer decks for playback at the station.
There were several WTIC-FM customs over the years!

February 24, 2005 at 4:18 am #15378jlehmannHere’s an aircheck of them I recorded of them back in 2003. It was recorded from my house here 100 or so miles away, so the signal isn’t that great. At least it was better than I normally get them. These are the ones that kind of sound like songs I guess. I wonder if they’re still using them during the retro lunch hour?
