It’s been quite a while since I last posted here, but recently I heard that Clear Channel has rebranded its AC station from “Fresh 100” back to 100.3 WNIC. Last time I checked, they were believed to be using Reelworld’s Z-100 packages during their Fresh years, but as it transitioned back to just using the WNIC calls, I wonder if they will be going back to JAM, and if so would there be a new custom package for them?

Very interesting. KVIL has also rebranded back to it’s old name after a few years of Lite FM. Why is this? Don’t the generic names work? Is the heritage of the old call letters more valuable? Do names like WNIC and KVIL have more impact on emotional level?

I cannot listen to WNIC in Europe due to copyright restrictions by the way…

From what I heard, KVIL does not play any jingles at all while WNIC aired a holiday cut from Reelworld(don’t know if it’s from the last time when they were just using the WNIC calls prior to the change to “Fresh”).

Also, WNIC is now airing holiday music while KVIL does not.
