Hard to believe that these are close on 35 years old now…
Custom produced by EMISON of London (with possibly just more than a little help from the then TM Productions of the day) in 1975 for Swansea Sound in South Wales…http://www.4shared.com/account/audio/oVZR1CWi/Wixy1360-ClassicILR-SwanseaSou.html
Fans of good stereo sound imaging may prefer to listen via headphones – the “image spread” (and especially the “layering”) of the vocals are something sadly rarely heard on many 21st century jingles, and 128k MP3 doesn't do the cuts the justice they deserve!

September 22, 2016 at 5:28 pm #100693IainJohnstonGood grief!
I’ve not been in those old 4S folders of mine for yonks!
I’m surprised they’re still “live” and not cancelled due to the old “90 days rule”.
IJSeptember 23, 2016 at 12:08 am #100695LenGroatHi Iain, an old topic maybe but still very pertinent.
I was in Swansea from ’68 to ’74 and almost turned down my job at Metro in ’74 to stay there to be on SS – when it launched 80% of the DJ’s were from the Swansea Hospital Radio Service -they ALL knew about radio/ music/ jingles, and it had an incredible weekly ‘reach’
The jingles were superb, and the result of Terry Mann pushing EMISON all the way. I had a copy of these just days after they were delivered
Serie 2 was put together by the same team but Terry had most of them re-sung as he was not happy with the vocals, and they never again got the same vocal sound as series 1.
Terry Mann could tell you a lot more about it all… He’s still in radio, running a community station in the Welsh valleys in South Wales.
