I’ve been asked by a dear friend of mine to ask anyone who love’s radio jingles and is aged 30 – 45 if you where to buy a new package for that age range.

Who’s Jingles would you buy? and Why?

In my opinion ricki, and I’m 35 y/o and a former dj, I would suggest JAM or TM Century. They both have a superior history in the world of jingles. And grew up as companies through the times you are speaking about. They can match jingles to anything the folks in that age range like to hear, from easy listening to CHR and Hot A/C. But really, and some of the more wiser folks in this forum can correct me if I’m wrong, it really depends on what format you are putting out there for the listeners. And what you want to project as a radio station. There are many companies to choose from also.

If you and they would like to hear samples of these companies’ work:

http://www.jingles.com for JAM or http://www.hitdisc.com for TM Century.

        Hope this helps you.

I’d agree across the board JAM and TM have the longest track record in the widest variety of genres. Between them you have so many packages to choose from!!!

            Interesting Topic…
Just a few weeks ago I sent an e-mail to Lesley Douglas (The new controller of BBC Radio Two) suggesting the way I think they should go with their station identification…
Of course I got no reply…..but then why should my views count?!?!
I suggested as the station was now catering for my age group (i.e. those who grew up with radio in the 70’s/80’s)
They also hire presenters that i grew up with..so why not have the Jingles from that era re-sang….All those of my age group must agree they were the happiest Time in Radio..
I suggested having the JAM Radio One Packages resang for Radio Two.
So cutting a long story short…..Most definately JAM as they have the best
vocal sound for my age group and the jingles don’t shout at you!
