MemberThe so called country jingles of today { for some reason} have to have a hot singer that sounds like she's having a …… And most of the tracks sound more like rock than anything else. Its up to the stations to change that. Its a fad which I hope personally disappears very soon. When the jingles don't even sound like the music the station is playing there is a problem.

But obviously not all the bloody time!

Thank you guys! I take comfort from your opinion since I realize that I am not the only one noticing an incoherent message delivered by these jingles and the sound they should promote.
I don't mean that they have to borrow the style of Johnny Cash or Randy Travis (which is great in tradition), but perhaps something between Faith Hill and Shania Twain (in her early years on CD).
I don't know… I wish that a company would emerge with a different jingle orientation (more accurate) for country stations.Should we start a thread with the last best country (single jingle or package)?

JAM did Country Proud for KFKF a few years ago. Very warm and full instrumentated. You can find it on the demo page of JAM:

I really like the transition medium-slow, and a lot of other cuts also. And here is the TOH with station voice (below). KFKF dropped the package, unfortunately…

MemberJanie Fricke was being interviewed on RFD'S Ralph Emery Show last Monday.
They were talking about getting her start in jingles working for Tanner.
She talked singing a promo that was taken to the moon on Apollo 12.
Tanner Promo ad gimmick. Also sing for Red Lobster, Coke ect..
Then she bought up that there is a company in Dallas that she sings for called TM.
She mentioned BULL HITS,and that she sang some of the WSM jingles.
Real interesting interview.September 25, 2008 at 8:15 pm #62233Glenna
MemberI still remember Sound America. Which I posted last week.
But I guess the TM KSCS series WSM and WBUL Rough and Ready- BULL HITS I can still sing along with. KILT AND KYGO before they went over the cliff were great too.
But one of the best was TM's WMAQ demo Country Music Radio in 1977 { think}.September 25, 2008 at 8:44 pm #62235kcmike

Marc,
I just checked to be sure, but KFKF is still running JAM Country Proud and it still sounds great. KFKF is currently #1 among the 3 country stations in Kansas City.-Mike

KFKF went to ReelWorld before, but nothing beats their Country Proud jingles from Jam.
