Is it me gone Jinglemad (or it could be the effect of drinking this afternoon in the beer-garden……… 🙄 ) but does this WGY jingle initially sound like a TM cut and then is spliced to include “WGY” sung by JAM ?

I’m only on beer number one of the day (after a long days work) and it sounds like the jingle is spliced. The sing sure sounds like JAM… I have no clue about the first part — but the jingle as a whole sounds spliced

The cut is a JAM cut, from Music Jam…that’s all I know…

Just had a listen to Music Jam and that cut isn`t in that demo. Jack FM in Dallas have a version of it.

OK, 2 things:

1) It is ALL JAM…not a splice. However, the female front sing was definitely an alternate vocal to what most stations ordered with the cut.

2) Young Jeffrey was close, but no cigar. It’s from the legendary “Class Action” for WLS. Cut 13 as I recall….

I think I know why it sounds like a splice…this cut sounds like the “WGY” sing was done first, and then they recorded the other lyric later, and dropped it into the open part of the cut. (Certainly, that whole cut could not have been sung in one sitting; the transition is not “natural.”)

Just chalk it up to a grid-style drop-in on JAM’s behalf, not a splice on WGY’s.
