I’m poking through some unlabeled DATs I made 10 years ago. In fact, they were recorded in March/April of 1995. It goes to show you how time flies and you forget the things you’ve dubbed.
Anyway… One offering from the DATs is WCOZ’s Best Show in STEREO… which I dubbed from the leadered JAM masters. The station’s call letters no longer existed… and the tapes were destined for a dumpster. They got detoured and dubbed… and through the miracle of technology, are now available for a limited time for you to download and listen to at…

The bass Solo does not sound like Jim Clancy
So do you know who it was?

Correct me if I’m wrong….But the “5 Voice” Group doesn’t include Jim Clancy?
So I’m assuming one of the other 3 guys do the bass?
Is that right Tracy/Jeffrey:

I believe they were from 1983.

Sorry… I’ve already cleared this off of the hard drive, so I can’t listen to the “slate” I put on it, telling the date of production.
I don’t know who sang bass on this. At times, Dan Alexander was doing the bass parts. Also, Jeff Oxley is used for the Bass parts at Tony Griffin Productions (not Jim Clancy)… so it could be him, or who knows… maybe someone else. It’s hard to say.

I just found a couple airchecks I had from them. They were using these jingles in July 1984. I believe the flip to WZOU happened a couple months later. They had a different, unknown package in late 1983.

I believe we did this session sometime in 1984. Here’s a picture of the BSID group:

The guy who did the low ‘in Denver’ was Dan Alexander (the guy on the left). Neither Chris nor I could sing that low in our dreams.

Good to have you on board Bruce, I was wondering if the bass vocalist on that cut was someone other than Jim Clancy as he has a more relaxed voice.
