I was thinking about Peter Marshalls late night Saturday show on Radio 2 in the very early 80’s.
I was just listening to Shakin’ Stevens ‘Green Door’, then I remembered Peter played “It’s the late show…” jingle straight after.
Can anyone help out and share a copy of the jingle? I don’t have a copy in my 1980 collection (or even a copy off-air).

This must surely have been some kind of a “custom request” cut by JAM?

Reason is, the first time I ever heard it, my immediate reaction was that it was a “homage” (…as it were..)
to one of the cuts in the 1968/9 Radio Two re-sing of the Pepper-Tanner “Easy Listening” package.

Right down to those authentic tinkly piano bits…

Did someone at 1980s Radio Two want to have one of their old favourites “re-created” perhaps?
