Since my update schedule for my website can best be described as “sporadic”, I'm starting a thread on here dedicated to inform everyone whenever I do put an update up.
I've uploaded some new stuff throughout February. The best new material I have is probably Reelworld's Kiss Seattle '04 re-sings for KKPN in Corpus Christi, TX. There's also what I think is some new Thompson Creative material from WACO and KAGG. Those two packages weren't on Thompson's site the last time I checked, but just by listening to the vocals, they sound like Thompson's group. I think the cuts for KAGG are from TC's newest package for KEEY, but if anyone knows exactly what packages these are, let me know.
Also new: One new montage plus some high quality recordings from KGKL and KIXY in San Angelo. I recently bought a new PC w/ a built-in FM tuner, which has worked very well with recording almost crystal clear audio from standard analog signals. It's not HD, but it's the best I've recorded.
Thanks!
February 27, 2008 at 1:17 am #56945BarrasKevin,
wanted to give you my “thanks” for keeping the TRC website updated with some excellent jingle audio.
Speaking as a British born jingle/radio anorak, I`ve always been fascinated by the American sound of radio and one of the first American airchecks I heard was from Texas – it was from the “cruising record series” which featured Russ Knight “The weird beard” at KLIF Dallas, when they used PAMS jingles on-the-air.
For a very long time, the New York area was always my favourite American radio market (i/c WABC, Z 100, WCBS etc…) but having visted Texas (Dallas Fortworth area) a few years ago, the Texas radio market is now my favourite and obviously from a “jingle collector” point of view, Dallas is the centre of the jingle universe !
Great to hear the montages you`ve put together and please, keep up the good work, it`s much appreciated.

February 27, 2008 at 5:08 pm #56964JingleMadMemberWACO is using Driven' Country from JonesTM.
KAGG is using K102 Today's Country 2.0 from Thompson Creative.
Hope that helps!
February 28, 2008 at 4:15 am #56971kasur0023David – Thanks for the comments. I'm kind of partial to TX myself, particularly the Dallas and West Texas areas. But, Texans are generally stereotyped as being “annoyingly proud” of their home state, so I guess I don't have much of a choice. Hopefully some day I'll have the time to venture around to the other parts of the state that have been neglected so far.
Cody – Thanks for the info. I'll have to update that info on the site. I can't believe I missed the Drivin' Country package from JonesTM. I think that was one of those TM packages I never listened to very much because their online demos had those annoying skips at the front. I really like that weather cut, though. The thing that still throws me off is that the vocal group sounds more like Thompson's than TM's traditional group.
The KAGG package is what I thought it was, I just didn't know the exact name. I think I heard a demo of that package somewhere online, but it's been a little while.
Thanks again for the replies.

I posted this jingle montage a while ago on Jinglemad, not sure if you heard it first time around and in case you didn`t, here it is again…it`s a montage of jingles from various American jingle companies featuring radio ID jingles from the Dallas Fortworth area. I call this montage “Lets Do Dallas (no spurs allowed)” – you can download it from this link…
Enjoy !

March 17, 2008 at 11:32 pm #57660JingleMadMemberIf KBTCR09 wants to know, KUAL is using jonesTM's riden high package.
I know my jingles so if you have trouble with a radio station please let me know.
March 23, 2009 at 4:19 am #65922kasur0023OK, new update (finally) on 3/22/09…
10 new off-air montages, including a lot of the updating services.
There's montages of:
ReelWorld ONE: Country (KFTX)
ReelWorld ONE: CHR (KORQ)
Kissville (KKPN)
LITEhouse (KJKE)
YoungGuns (KKCN)
ReelWorld WLIT 2007 (KQXT) ..only a couple of cuts
ReelWorld KNCI (KAJA) ..plus some old cuts from KNIX & KASE
TM Studios Ridin' High (KOUL) ..updated an older montage
Studio Dragonfly Fuel (KMDX)
N2 Effect Kiss Dallas v3.0 (KORQ)I'm fairly certain that there's one or two cuts (specifically the top of hour cut) in the KORQ Kiss Dallas v3.0 montage that are from a different package, but I can't figure out what package they're from.
I changed the look of the site again, so if anyone sees any problems (broken links, etc) let me know.
Enjoy the montages!
October 20, 2009 at 6:22 pm #70734kasur0023New update: I added some new off-air montages yesterday (10/19/09). Included in the updates are re-sings of the following packages:

October 21, 2009 at 2:39 am #70753kasur0023Ahhh, that's right. I went over to studiodragonfly.com to take a listen, and I did find those particular cuts. I should have known that one, because I know I've got the demo saved somewhere.. I guess I just haven't listened to it recently enough. Thanks for the help!
October 21, 2009 at 6:21 pm #70761GlennaMemberGood job Kev!!!
December 9, 2009 at 7:12 pm #71499kasur0023Quick bump to mention that I just put up a few new montages (finally)… Montage #s 9, 10 & 11.
No “theme” for #9, #10 is my (almost obligatory) Christmas Montage, and #11 is a “Texas only” montage with a lot of off-air cuts mixed in, some of which hopefully many of you haven't heard before.
December 11, 2009 at 1:59 am #71531tyty21as a visitor to the site, i have to say, best…jingles…ever! i even loved the texas top of hour montage! i couldn't understand the 102.3 call letters very well for corpus christi, and don't know the call letters for 97.5 in waco, and the oldies station in abaleen. however, i had no idea that KIXY used TM! you have some great tohs that could land on tophour if you ask me! definitely put the TM resing for KIXY FM up there!
December 11, 2009 at 2:01 am #71532tyty21KKCL is still using TGP.

I definitely have plenty more stuff to send tophour from other cities around the state, but I need to sort thru & organize them, so that'll have to wait until I have enough time…
97.5 in Waco is KWTX. I noticed that the cut on my montage doesn't mention the calls. They were probably said just before the TOH jingle (the way KIXY does it), and I just cut them out. That's my best guess. ..I was more concerned about the jingle itself.
Thanks for the comments!
December 11, 2009 at 5:20 am #71534tyty21another suggestion for a montage. another toh montage, this time, let's go all states. i do have somthing to contribute for that, a station in riverside, ca called KOLA. riverside's a small market, but KOLA was a prime oldies powerhouse near 2003! probably as early as the 90's. some great TGP cuts! love the KLUV update cuts, and as far as the off-air airchecks go, no jam in there? come on! jam's a legend, just love there jingles, use to pass by the studio whenever visiting DFW! i always turn the dial on 98.7 or others while waiting for a ride from the DFW airport!
December 11, 2009 at 5:06 pm #71541GlennaMemberThanks jingle man for the Jam suggestion.
