Thanks for the info David, I personally think it would be a very sad day should it be correct.

I know that Larry has a vocal session planned for August, so if you've ever wanted a T.C resing, now might be a good time to get one done (for both parties), if what David says is true anyway. Although, there's no reason to assume that T.C can't continue away from 4141 Office Parkway, there must be loads of Recording studios in Dallas happy to strike a deal with Mr T.

I really like a lot of the TC work. Resings sometimes didn't quite do it. But on balance most of the packages were hits.

Considering that many 1990's Thompson demos would very forthrightly include some very pointed comments about “other jingle companies stuck in the 1980s” (to which the owner of the clearly-alluded-to company maintained his dignity and didn't respond to the barb), I would think that a merger or any other form of “rescue” of Thompson assets by the probable slagged-off company owner would be most unlikely!

Those who criticise others while “on the way up” shouldn't expect the same people to help them when “on the way down”! Cruel maybe, but realistic.

I really dont know – but maybe the “problems” have been sorted?

Would be crazy to organise an event on this scale if you knew eviction was imminent . . . . so maybe, just maybe, things are sorted – I hope so anyway, it would be a shame and a great loss imho.

But then again – maybe this is a way of raising funds? The piece did say discounts for payment up front . . . or maybe it is Thompson's way of giving people one last chance to see 4141 Office Parkway – i doubt it would ever be used for jingle production again if Thompson vacate (though i could really see Ben Freedman in there!)

It's all speculation . . . .

Thanks for answering my query David, with you mentioning the “eviction” I kinda presumed you must have some inside knowledge of what`s going on over there in Dallas. Just for the record, I was emailing with Larry Thompson untill about 4 weeks ago and haven`t heard anything since…
