August 14, 2005 at 7:20 pm #17141joejinglesThanx Tracy for those goodies from my own backyard. Been wanting that stuff for a long time. In fact it seems so much of the JAM cuts never were aired, or very infrequently.
Good days of jingles and CHR radio!
Luv it,

August 16, 2005 at 6:24 am #17153JingleMadMemberThanks Tracy. You continue to bang them out. Many thanks.
Some of those cuts later ended up in the KVIL ’90 package. This was to make it more sellable to the US market.
August 16, 2005 at 11:39 am #17155topcatIt also makes sense to recycle the tracks and get some milage out of them. They’re already “in the can” — why not make some money with them.
Here’s something different… a few cuts from William Meeks Productions’ KRLD Custom. The late Bill Meeks, founder of PAMS, had a few production companies after the demise of PAMS. These are from the mixdown master.

August 16, 2005 at 12:43 pm #17156UKJinglesMemberHe was a GREAT Man…But unfortunately can’t say that about those Jingles 😆
Who on earth was singing them Tracy?August 16, 2005 at 12:56 pm #17159topcatpetewilson wrote: He was a GREAT Man…But unfortunately can’t say that about those Jingles 😆
Who on earth was singing them Tracy?Who knows. The voices are marginal, at best. You should hear the rest of the cuts! (rolling eyes)
On another note… I’m starting another quickie thread entitled Downloads from Jingles.Org with a summary of all of the jingle postings. We’re up to 10 pages of good info here… but some folks just want the jingles w/o the commentary. So — I’ll periodically update the other thread with the new things I post HERE.
August 17, 2005 at 2:00 am #17166topcatAnd now… for something different. The majority of the FairWest reels have been transferred… and have arrived spanning over 50 CDs (so far). So… I’ve picked a disc at random… and present to you selected cuts from…..
KLCI Boise, Idaho – FairWest Hit Sounds I – March 10, 1984

August 17, 2005 at 5:25 am #17167ratnobMemberAh, now you’re talking, TC. Fellow jingle funsters Young David Barras and Neal Bowden are, like me, big fans of FairWest and other Chris Kershaw incarnations (as Bob Dinan I once got some samplers from “Gemini” Productions). I have the KVIL version of these cuts. The mouth waters at the thought of fifty CDs worth of such material! Many thanks for posting.
August 17, 2005 at 3:50 pm #17169TServo2049Yes, indeed, this FairWest stuff is good. Though perhaps TC could also give us a little taste of another side of FairWest…at some point in the early 80s, Dick Hamilton, the man behind all that great Heller stuff, as well as TM’s “You,” “Synergy,” and the like, did some stuff for FairWest. From the little stuff I’ve heard, it was very very good…
August 19, 2005 at 1:03 pm #17189topcatFrom the FairWest collection… here are some examples of Xmas cuts that were cut in late 1983…

Thanks a ton for the Fairwest cuts!
If you ever “randomly pick” any WIBC or WNAP Indianapolis early to mid 80’s Fairwest stuff, I’d love to hear it! Those two Fairbanks stations were huge with Heller during it’s heyday, and later picked up Fairwest in that same spirit.
It is interesting to note the similarities and differences between Fairwest and Heller.
