Ron Chapman long time KVIL and KNUS retired morning man suffered a stroke before xmas and is now working thru it.
It this case it will take time to make things right..
I do an around the world via radio web site and this year was the first that most of the top 40 stations I tuned into did not have jingles..the aussie stations sweepers..the other asian stations same thing..even the philpines and indonesia were runing sweepers..welcome to the mid 80s…sad..

Sorry to hear this. Ron emceed the Tom Merriman tribute back in September 2008, so I had the opportunity to meet him.

More sad news – I hear that Chris Kershaw is very unwell at the moment. His sister is asking for prayers for his health. Here’s to a steady recovery.

I’m sorry to hear that Chris is very unwell. His musical skill and vocal talents have contributed hugely to the sound of 80’s and 90’s JAM (also the majority of my JAM resings) and he has to be my favorite male jingle vocalist. Hope he gets well.

Thanks for the info, Chris. As you know I am a huge Kershaw fan. In fact he wrote my all-time favourite jingle ever: “CJ sounds like someone you’d like to know and take some place you’d like to go”. It’s on Bob’a post about Chris written in July 2011:

Looks like it was right side..voice is ok but his left arm isn’t working like he’d want it too.
