the oldies have returned back to Saint Louis, Missouri as 103.3 KLOU are playing hits of the 60's and 70's. the burning question is, who's doing the jingles?

From what I've seen, most Clear Channel oldies stations either use TM or no jingles at all. But I'm listening now to see what goes between the songs.

        EDIT: Sounds like Reelworld. Bleh.

yep, it's ReelWorld's latest package for 99-9 Bob FM.

wow… that's a bummer! i thought they'd go back to dallas, knowing that they used jam, tony griffin, and TM at least once or twice, but now they go for that? yuck!

Yeah, this package might work okay on a Hot AC or "Jack" type station, but really has no business on a station calling itself "Oldies". I expected better from Clear Channel after they got JAM back on KOST, and put TM's Overture Remastered on WQOL in Florida after they also rebranded as "Oldies". The station as a whole doesn't impress me either, as it's very safe and there's not really all that much 60's.

right! now if it were CBS doing the job, they'd put jam on in a minute! if not jam, tony or TM would've done the trick, with its super hits resings, plus, if they really wanted to do it, KLOU could've brought "get a klou" back into play. they could've did something like they did overture. i'm not much an RW fan, but you're right about the style of station, this would've worked well with a station like 2wd or a jack style station, but not this one for sure!

                  Silly thought…

What happens to the ratings surveys (OK, ignoring PPM) in a US city, when every single station using jingles, regardless of format, has IDs with precisely the exact same vocal sound (with same reverb efx on the end), same logo, same dull ramp tracks, same… same… .ZZZZ…zzzzzzzz…

who knows, they might realize it somehow, and then go back to dallas. i don't know exactly when they went back to oldies, but if they just started, then we'll give it some time.

I could be wrong at this, but if they had to use Reelworld, at least KLOU could have used the WODJ package. The 99-9 Bob FM package does not fit the station at all! tyty21

this same thing is happening now on WTRY in Albany, NY.
