As many of you know, the Media Preservaton Foundation has published the book “The History of ID Jingles: The Hits Between The Hits” by Don Worsham. The book is still for sale at http://WWW.JINGLES.ORG — and — for those of you who haven’t noticed — we’ve started putting up streaming audio examples of jingles.
Currently, KLAC’s 1950’s Modernaires outtakes and some outtakes from Drake-Chanault’s Rum Pums are posted — in addition to a couple of other items posted just for grins: KYLE’s STEREO PAMS composite from 1964 and FRV’s Jingles American Style Tanner Sampler #1 from 1974.
So far, Don has batched up about eight CDs worth of stuff to eventually be posted at the site. Due to the nature of streaming and bandwidth, these items won’t all be posted at once. Further, they still need to be edited and encloded.
