      Hey Guys,

Whilst digging out some of my old JAM Demos..came across this…
I think I can safely say without fear of Contraception that these were the
FIRST JAM Jingles on UK Radio (Excluding BBC Radio!) in 1977 !

To change it round slightly, is the BBC Radio York package from 1985 – the first JAM package to be aired outside BBC National Radio?

Don’t know about that – but I was mightily peeved when the JAM package aired for the first time – I really liked that William B Tanner YORK set.

I think it was BBC Radio Merseyside.

Here’s a cut from the BBC Radio Merseyside JAM package…

So what year did they air this package then Neal?

The BBC Radio Merseyside Package was done 11/83 with some custom news cuts done in 1/84. they also had a tanner package on air at the same time. Both packages aired until 1990. I was informed recenty that these tapes hit the skip when the station was overhauled about 6 months ago!

Typical. It’s the presenters they should be binning – not the old jingles! 🙄
