      David…
Can you provide an audio sample/example or two please?
Any quality, any source, just to try to identify what you’re looking for?

      Cheers
      IJ

Hi, unfortunately I don’t have any recorded examples I just know that one of them started something like this:
“This is the best part of the day
        He’s your morning man
        Who in his special way
Has all you need to know between 5 and 9 on your radio”
        Some more lyrics finishing with:
        “On the Terry Davis Show”
I believe the above jingle was also duplicated for Essex Radio but with a different time slot.

Had a quick look through dubs of the Alfa Pennine stuff from that era, but could only find
a DJ name acapella for him.

Your description has “On the Terry Davis Show” at the end – the station cuts typically end in the station name.

Could it possibly have been a custom or Personal cut for him, or as an add-on outwith the main package(s)?

            Thanks for looking.
I think Terry Davis sang them and may even have multitracked his own voice to harmonise the jingles. So I guess he either did that using the AlfaSound studios or had a home studio; whichever way I guess it counts as Personal cuts; the jingles didn’t mention Pennine or later in 1981 Essex Radio.

He had a jingle like that when he was on Essex radio. I’m sure I have it somewhere. Will try and dig it out tomorrow.

                That’s brill thank you.
I’ve heard that Essex Radio jingle as well which is the same as the Pennine Radio one except it probably says afternoon instead of morning and 4 till 7 to reflect the drive time slot.

                      Thank you for posting Ian.
It’s great to hear that again after 40 plus years; for me it has great energy, harmonies and catchy lyrics. They don’t make them like that any more.
