Here is a brief montage of some of the idents used by Stourbridge FM in its three RSL’s.
This features material produced by Chris Stevens, TM Century, Tony Nixon and Paul Teague.

Thanks.
October 23, 2004 at 9:19 am #14051DavidHemsleyTM Century stuff always sounds good !
October 23, 2004 at 10:11 am #14052DevawebMemberWow, I’d forgotten how much fun those sweepers were to make!
Alongside the sung stuff from TM, we put the station’s 4 note musical logo into a lot of the sweepers to keep the continuity going. And Ian Brannan sounds pretty beefy on those sweepers!
Bello – any more RSLs on the horizon? The imaging deserves another airing
October 23, 2004 at 3:46 pm #14055simon_t123MemberHello all, just had the TMCI FIVE package sung for our new internet station, and yes their stuff sounds class absolutely cracking, I’ve only just taken delivery (very quick service) and when i’ve done all the mixing in with Dave Diamond voice overs, i’ll post a montage.
It was the Stourbridge FM resings that inspired me to get that package after subjecting the missus to “Hi I’m Paul Teague…..” and the montage off the Studio Dragonfly site lol (Oh and the price ! FIVE is very cost effective – especially on a payment plan !)
All good fun
October 23, 2004 at 3:50 pm #14056simon_t123MemberBy the way….. no offence to Mr Teague, I actually meant “subjected missus to” meaning the hundreds of times I played the montage whilst deciding which package to get ! it was in the car… in bed… on the mobile.. you know the score people, typical anorak thing !
Anyway the missus likes em, but so did I…. she’ll have to like em, cos she’s gonna hear PLENTY of em now hehe
October 23, 2004 at 11:50 pm #14058BelloThanks for all the replies so far and I’m glad that you like the montage.
The Stourbridge FM idents has been a climax of quite a few years of storing bits of information and putting it all together and acting on it! From working with Chris Stevens in Chester all those years ago – to using Ian Brannan’s voice on a regular basis when I was a jock at Revolution. Plus I was introduced to Laura Shavin’s voice (who I used for RSL’s 2 and 3) through links with 2BR! So it all came together!
As for TM Century…I have always had a soft spot for TM Communications Inc, Century 21 and TM Century. I always remember hearing the powerful TM jingles on BRMB when I was young, plus Wyvern, Mercia and Severn Sound. I always wanted something like that for my station!
I think TM was more of a Midlands or Scottish thing! lol
Plus Century 21 and latterly TM Century blew me away with their jingles as well…so a combination of all this went into the Stourbridge FM cuts!
For the first RSL – I ordered only one cut from MMI which was a Dallas Power resing and a bed which became the News Intro and weather bed! Chris did the rest with a full Sweeper package! By the time we got to planning for RSL 2 – the purse strings were loosened and I wanted to order more sung cuts, though I wasn’t prepared to go overboard, unlike some RSL’s who spent silly money on jingles. I heard a few demos, though when Studio dragonfly started…I just wanted to be a part of it! So I went for FIVE, because it complimented what the sweepers did – they were carrying the main imaging of the station. So it moved onto RSL 3 with Chris concentrating towards ‘merging’ of the imaging tools. Hence the four note musical logo.
The presenters loved the idents and even some listeners and guests have commented about our jingles. So big thanks to Chris, Dave Graupner and all the crew at TMCI and Tony Nixon.
By the way – Besides FIVE – we do have another TM Century package up our sleeve for future use!

Hiya Chris…hope all is alright for you down in the Smoke! I totally agree that the imaging needs another airing, especially with a near-new set of jingles as well!
We should be able to be in a position to talk further about it soon mate!

No offence taken! I’m glad the testimonial was of some use and you got a good order out of it!
Maybe you can post them up here sometime? I would love to hear another resing of the Kiss 108 idents.

Yes we did Bello! Especially the legal ID (which appears in montage #10)
