Like many of you (I’d guess, anyway), sometimes I find myself obsessed with a particular jingle. Right now, it’s Spirit Of New England cut 10, the image song. I’ve heard the versions for WJR, WRUF and WBZ, of course. What other versions are floating around out there?
If anyone wants to post them, I’d be glad to cut together a montage.

I’ve heard a Detroit , Tallahassee( Florida Gator) versions. Probably moreJuly 17, 2015 at 2:45 pm #98080TaterStudHere’s the one done for WASH-FM in Washington DC. It made it on the air precisely two days, from what I’m told. After the second playing, the GM walked in and said “Can you give me the tape of the station song you just played?” The jock gave it to him, and it never got back on the air. Rumor or legend? I don’t know – but that’s the story – and here’s the cut!

July 17, 2015 at 7:11 pm #98083PKMemberI’m wondering now how Jeff might re-lyric the song with new naughty cheeky words for Jeffro Radio lol!
July 17, 2015 at 7:16 pm #98084glenI wonder what Cheesy Geoff could do with it?
July 17, 2015 at 7:18 pm #98085Jeffrey T. MasonMemberPK – It’s a little too AC for Jeffro Radio. Though, I am sure I could dirty it up!
July 17, 2015 at 8:38 pm #98087PKMemberThe Spirit Of Chicago Ferris Buller styley lol? AC = All Cheesy? AC = About Chicago?
July 17, 2015 at 8:40 pm #98088PKMemberI’ve checked my BBC Radio Shropshire copy and there’s no Spirit Of Shropshire song there even though there are some long cuts.

I once thought about asking JMW if he could do me the “2nd-half” 30-seconds as a Personal Cut – the “first half” is a bit
too snoozy – but it livens-up very nicely after that (especially that BiiiGGG 3-note brass hit mirroring the vocal) – but I
doubted if I could afford something with so much wording… :^(July 18, 2015 at 10:58 pm #98095glenMake a hell of a montage!!

No, you’re right. These stations had the cut but not the full monty. However, one BBC station that did have the full song was BBC Radio Lincolnshire – although it was British singers.

Those versions were not fully lyric’d then?
I cant imagine what they’d sing for Radio Lancashire…July 21, 2015 at 9:31 am #98108IainJohnston“Great montage “
Thank you :^)For anyone wanting to explore those UK BBC station versions further, they’re on the Alfasound CD4 “BBC Locals” CD,
which has a number of Alfa and JAM customs and re-sings, particularly of JAM packages that demo’d originally
on the News Talk Vol 1 CD.July 21, 2015 at 12:15 pm #98110IanFDidn’t this jingle package win an award?
I’d like to hear the Radio Lincolnshire resing of this cut. That Radio Lincs Alfa/JAM resing package is really becoming one of my holy grails. It’s a right mix bag of various JAM cuts
July 21, 2015 at 3:51 pm #98111glenHow do you get the CD?

Probably on E-Bay as Alfasound don’t exist anymore. You could always trade with someone who has it? Sadly I don’t. I didn’t buy it at the time as I had the above jingles on the Alfa tapes at that time
