OK then they’ve got something to do with me.
Personally I think they sound the Dog’s.

August 1, 2004 at 3:06 pm #13708RjMVery nice!
Can I ask you where you got your American VO’s from? I’m currently looking at getting some done myself to accompany my new JAM personal cuts, which are due very soon.
There are so many companies offering this sort of thing, I only want one or two liners, and would prefer a male, American voice.
Any suggestions and recommendations welcome.
August 1, 2004 at 4:12 pm #13710JingleMadMemberWhich cuts have you gone for?
That’s Mr Butch in person on the voiceovers, Mitch Craig. Killer pipes and a classic sound for 80s/90s formats. I use him too. 24 hour turnaround for produced cuts supplied also with just the dry liner.

Michael Bolton – that’s an even greater name!Good luck.

BTW, my Hot Wired TOH was sung in April, 2004.
August 1, 2004 at 4:56 pm #13711mbMemberAuthorIt was indeedy Mr Mitch Craig – I had some help in choosing him by one of my friends in the “National Radio imaging scene”
and we thought that he worked really well. A lot of my listeners have commented on Mitch saying that he makes the station sound really big and special. The cuts on the station are:-
HW Cut 1 TOH
HW Cut 2
HW Cut 6 DJ Cut
Do It Again Cut 1 – ( just couldn’t resist )Mitch is first class guy and sounds great!!! I’m quite shy about C100 but I am quite proud of the imaging as I think the Hot wired jingles and Mitch really set the mood of the station.
Thanks Sean The name came about cos i live in a place Called Chafford Hundred in Essex which is referred to by the locals as C100 )
Clever huh!!August 1, 2004 at 6:04 pm #13712RjMCheers for the help guys, I think I will send off for a quote. I’ve listened to the demos on his site, and this is the sort of high impact voice I am looking for. Is his work quite reasonably priced?
The personal cuts I have gone for are the TOH cut from ‘After Burner’ (#10) and a cut from the VH1 custom package. I already have a Rockin’ For America cut (#22).

For the calibre of talent, Mitch is very reasonably priced.
He requires payment in advance via International Money Order.
Unlike some other VO guys, Mitch doesn’t put a time limit on the usage of his work – it’s yours for life.
Personally, I would always ask for a CD copy of the sweepers/liners rather than just mp3 downloads.-Sean

What package was this? Does anbody have any samples?
August 8, 2004 at 7:05 pm #13753RjMYou can hear the cut I’ve gone for at 01:28 in to the TV music montage on JAM’s website http://www.jingles.com/jam/tv/index.html .
It is part of a custom TV package created for VH1 in the US. It cannot be resung for any other broadcast station, which is why we’ve not heard many resings, But is OK as a Personal Cut.
