Always from home. The TuneIn app on android works. Just nothing else.
As the stream is not HTTPS, I cant see it being a Windows XP thing. Like I said previously, it was working fine.

All these fancy “apps” and their providers didn’t exist when XP came out – and there’s every chance one of the recent
“fixes” to even XP due to the recent hacks could well have blootered your backwards compatibility.

I know there’s JMers still using XP (and earlier) for non-online stuff (e.g. heritage-but-damn-good audio editors)
but I wouldn’t let an XP machine anywhere near an RJ45 plug never mind the actual web!

I’ve not posted on our jingle topic for 6 months, for a simple reason – my partner of 13 years passed away in the summer.

The fantasy world of jingles all of us on here love is, however, a distraction away from reality, and so in that spirit I’d like to share a cut I love. a VERY old one…

We ordered it back in the Spring and have saved it for now as we revamp our station for its FIFTH ANNIVERSARY – on 5 November.

I won’t spoil the ‘guessing game’ – who can ‘name that package’ ?!

And then the way we are using it – as a new Top of the Hour – some hours we don’t carry news, and it will be followed by the DJ namecheck, other hours it’s followed our (amazing) Top News cut from 2012, which we are reviving.

Being an older cut I feel it is melodic and musically perfect for our 60s and 70s based music style.

The Top News package is from the 2000s actually. But both of these are among the greatest TOH IDs ever. First heard the cut you just got on WOGL – theirs sounded great and so does yours. I know it was originally from a WGY custom and later syndicated as part of the WHP Real Talk package.

Sorry for your loss, and it’s good to know you’re doing well on the jingle front! as for this, this cut has been a favorite of mine, ever since I heard it on WOGL. If only they had a lot of the jam cuts in the clear for WTVN, which also had this cut! LOL! WTVN, along with its sister in Kentucky, WHAS, were huge composite jam junkies. aside from demo stuff, you got additional out of the box choices!
