I wonder if the video above is something from the Top Format stable ? they had various vocal groups over JAM tracks over the years, I thought they normally used the ‘best of both skies’ type mix of US & Dutch vocalists ? unusual if JAM have said it’s not anything to do with them mind …

Canada Jim: I got a real kick out of sending Kay (sorry I put an ‘e’ on her name above) a link to my version of the Christmas cut . Kay is on FB… she was pleased to hear it finished. I’ll send her the link to yours too.

Simon: Part of the answer over the video is the Dutch title, which reads ‘Kelly ter Horst on recordings for Sky Radio @ Dallas, USA’. Kelly is clearly the long-haired singer I did not recognise and in fact Jon did tell me there were 3 Dutch singers on the package; as you know the ends on the Dutch language versions have the frequency sung in Dutch. What Jon actually told me was that the video ‘makes no mention of JAM, I notice’.

I’m sure over the years many clients took pics/vids at sessions, and this one is both intriguing and informative. It’s just a shame that Sky no longer use JAM as the product produced was superb. We used Sky Trax for Trent FM in the early 90s, and one of all-time favourite packages was Omni Trax which again was first done for Sky, though the demo was WENS, and the best version I heard was for Magic 106 in LA.

I’m typing this early morning so I hope it all makes sense.
