Happy Birthday Skylab Radio!

The small internet station with a big heart is six years old. So I thought I’d pop up at one of the places where it all began! 2017 has been a good year; where we’ve welcomed back friends old and new from around the world, and we’ve taken a few baby steps onto DAB Digital Radio – courtesy of Upload Radio. Thus giving DAB listeners a sample of what Skylab Radio is all about.

But despite Skylab Radio’s evolution…our station sound is still consistent with our original ideology, as this thread gives testimony to. I would like to thank those very talented individuals who have been instrumental in bringing the sound of Skylab Radio to life…Jon Wolfert and everyone at JAM, Sean Martin, Greg Clancy and Chris Stevens at TM Studios/Ignite Jingles and our wonderful voices…Sarah Hall, Ashleigh Whitfield, Victoria Shotton-Oza, Neal Bowden and Andrea Day. But I also would like to thank everyone from Jinglemad who has been behind Skylab Radio since the beginning!

I would like to thank everyone’s responses and messages…it’s greatly appreciated! Hopefully 2018 will be a good year for everyone on JM.

For those very few hearty souls who have glanced periodically at this thread and are curious of where we sit jingle-wise at the present time. Firstly; all of our JAM and TM Personal Cuts we bought between 2011-2013 are still featured frequently on the webstream, which reinforces what we do as a ‘station’. I added a couple of Century 21’s CBS K-Lite and K-Lite 2 resings in early 2017- courtesy of TM and Ignite Jingles, which sound great and fits the evolving sound of the music we play!

Hopefully I will work with Chris again very soon…and yes, I reckon we should also return to our original source of jingles as well It’s been long overdue! Just a shame about the exchange rate at the present time…
