I’ve seen a lot of Fake Ads on Facebook over time BUT this has got to be one of the worst… 😮
“3 Fully produced Jingles for £30″

For the 876th Time a Voiceover is NOT a Fully Produced Jingle!

This winds me up all the time! I see this so much on my news feed and every time I say to myself, “they are NOT jingles….. they are voice overs/sweepers”
I’ve blocked the ad so many times and it comes back within a week or two.

There is also an ad on my news feed offering jingles (real jingles), sung for £65. At the moment these are not the type of jingles that most of us here would regard quality singers and backing tracks. If in time they can improve the quality of the singers, tracks and production then good luck to them (but I can’t see it happening for £65).

Anyway, for voice over/sweepers, I always go to a good voice artist and produce my own.

            Chill TimS B)
You could have just pointed out how you disagree, rather than calling other peoples opinion ‘poison’.

Voice overs/sweepers are regarded by most people here as voice overs/sweepers (not jingles).
Budget jingle operators are not regarded by most here as broadcast quality professional jingles.

Now maybe I should get my keyboard out and sing you a few custom jingles. You could post them here and we could all be really positive about them.
I am only joking with you in friendly way, but you get my point. Anyone can sing to a backing track or keyboard, if it’s not of good professional quality, it’s hard to be positive about it.

We are collectors/fans of quality jingles made by professional musicians, session singers & producers.
Peace out and have a good Sunday TimS ;)

            —- footnote to all—-
The above is only my opinion and what I guess as ‘most’ others here (not all). I know it can be very risky using opinion these days. Hang on a minute….. wasn’t that what Forums were made for, sharing our opinions/thoughts on shared interests

I don’t know how someone like markbirmingham can make it even worse. Saying “We are collectors/fans of quality jingles made by professional musicians, session singers & producers” is arrogant. It means or at least it can mean: WE know and WE decide what is good and what is not.

Unfortunately some people don’t like the Truth/Facts…….You might have your own opinions BUT these are NOT “Fully produced Jingles” in other words a blatant lie and false advertising!
I’ve also reported it to Facebook as “Misleading Spam” but something similar re-appears a month later and I do the same again…There’s enough Fake 💩 appearing on Facebook! :s

Why does it bother you so much? You may think these are not jingles, other people do. If you think it is YOU who decides what is a jingle and what is a sweeper or a whatever, then you will never appreciate other people’s opinions. Besides that, jingles is also a general word to cover what Wikipedia describes as “Most often the term “radio jingles” can be used to collectively describe all elements of radio station branding or identification.”

And no, I never ordered from the people you are quoting. I just hate your negativity. Can’t you just leave it and start a conversation about something positive?

Something tells me anything can mean anything you want it to anyway. Even with my footnote saying ‘The above is only my opinion’.
Something also tells me you’re a very angry person just looking for an argument, sorry you won’t get one from me. Now take your angry little rant somewhere else….. I’m done with ya!

LOL “I’m done with ya”. That’s also what Mr Putin said to Mr Zelenskiy. We know the result.

No (or as you may say “nah”) I’m not a very angry person. I just don’t like the injustice, in this case of people saying what’s a jingle and what’s not. And someone else even starting a new topic about it. Starting a topic about an ad that you don’t like. My goodness. Hope the “Old Peoples home” does not drive people mad.

I only mentioned it so that others don’t fall into the same trap and waste money as I have over they years (Before Facebook or the Internet) back in the 1980’s and late 1970’s (and I don’t just mean that “Frinton-On-Sea” Jingle Outfit)
Thanks to publications like “Record Mirror” I was misled into purchasing “Personalised Sung Jingles” that really weren’t!
So yes blatant lies and misleading adverts were around even before Facebook! :D

Thanks for elaborating. I understand it better now. It was also a warning. I checked the website and I saw many 5 stars reviews, even by people of this forum like Mark H. So I understand you wanted to warn people. I do not understand all the effort in blocking ads of companies like this one.

                                Tim…
Without giving out personal information, would be interesting to know your (general) age-group,
whether interest in radio IDs is professional (broadcast industry) or hobbyist/collector?

Just to get a clearer idea of where your point-of-view is coming from?
                                Thanks.
                                :)

There’s been an unfortunate trend here towards people who claim to talk about respect and positivity, but are really just stirring up trouble at the end of the day. I believe this is what the kids call “concern trolling”. Maybe I’m adding to that with this post, but the can of worms is already wide open.

And speaking of stuff that’s a little shady… I noticed that when I G**gle “radio jingles”, the first thing that comes up is what appears to be a Reelworld ad, but is actually a link to LFM Audio. Deceptive much?
