In all the news and excitment about Bauer launching a new Digital station with Simon Mayo as a presenter no one has picked up on the station imaging.

The press release says:
The sound of the station has been created with modern bespoke scores recorded by The City of Prague Philharmonic.
The same orchestra that brough us all the music for the Carry On Films – I’m hoping that some of these turn up as idents on Scala hahahahha

The interest on here to Scala will probably be echoed in the public response! And as much as I’m glad people will have a greater choice I don’t think this station will amount to much.

And I’d paraphrase this: “The sound of the station has been created with modern bespoke scores recorded by The City of Prague Philharmonic “

As…..

“The sound of the station has been created with non-syndicated scores recorded by The City of Prague Philharmonic as they cost a lot less than doing it in the UK ! “
