I recently scanned a lot of Roger Squire information, drop me an email if you would like a copy of the scans. According to their information leaflet, the sung jingles were recorded in the 1970s, at a studio in St John`s Wood, London. In my ears, some of the vocals do sound very Dallas (ish) however, they state, Roger Squires was a British vocal group, I even have a scan of the reel box cover of a Roger Squire acapella for a certain Mr Len Groat !

That’s most intriguing as I don’t remember having that and definitely don’t have it now !

I do recall booking an hour in the studio for an audition tape using the PAMS Radio 1 jingles ~ Beep beep ~ beep beep Yeah…

Aplogies Len, it is your audition tape box cover and not jingles.

            It actually says:

            Roger Squire DJ Studios
            No. 2 Date – April73
            Len Groat
            Audition Tape for Radio One
            Engineer: Bill
            Tape Speed: 7 1/2

Just being curious, did you use any Radio 1 jingles on your audition tape ?

P.S. Remember the demo-tapes I used to bombard you ( :-D ) when you were the boss at Radio Trent, I used the EMIson Metro 261 jingles on my demo tapes !
