Sad to hear the news that Ricky Irwin (aka Uncle Ricky) has passed away. Ricky was the founder of reelradio.com and kept the site alive since 1996 – it was one of the first aircheck websites online. It wasn’t just airchecks – the site hosted many jingles and back in the day it was THE go-to site for audio of classic top 40 stations across the US.

Sad to hear this news. I had a subscription to reelradio for a few years – a great archive of material.

Ricky Irwin I found very difficult to work with. Friendly is not a word I would use in a sentence with his name. That being said condolences.

Reelradio.com (http://www.reelradio.com) has returned under the auspices of several of “Uncle” Ricky’s “associates”..
