do you remember the jingles of the Europe-wide satellite radio stations or nation-wide cable radio stations distributed to the cable TV networks – right across Europe?

the Radio 10 jingles was based on the 66 WNBC jingles from JAM and the Netherlands-wide cable radio station came on the air in April of 1988.
also the jingles was used for County Sound Premier Radio (96.4 FM).

the jingle package called “Omni-Trax” came from Magic 106 in Los Angeles and 97 FM WENS in Indianapolis and played the jingles for SKY Radio – the first automated station playing soft-pop from compact disc. for 7 years, this station distributed signal via satellite to the cable TV networks from London, UK to Milan, Italy.
the jingles also used for Century Radio in Ireland in 1989.

the nighttime satellite service distributing the signal to independent local radio station in the UK called “The Superstation” played in 1989 the jingles, which was based on the Electric 106 jingles from TM.

Star*Sat Radio – Europe’s first automated radio station playing pop hits from the past 40 years, started broadcasting on April 11th, 1988 from Munich, Germany. the first bunch of jingles was recorded in Winter 1987/1988.

but Cable One – the Netherlands’s first cable radio playing the Middle-Of-The-Road music format, which was launched in February 1988. the station’s signal beamed up to the satellite and distributed to the cable TV networks – Europe-wide. the jingles was based on the 105 WAVA jingles and the other CHR stations across America and the slogan echoed the legendary “LUXY” catchphrase.

and you, what the jingle package of the cable and satellite radio stations was the best in the 80’s and the 90’s?
