FORGIVE ME. PLEASE, FORGIVE ME. I AM ABOUT TO SIN, PLEASE READ THIS HUMBLE PLEA FOR FORGIVENESS.
..From some of the other posts I have read, I understand it is a great sin to post air checks rather than original off-air cuts. Please forgive me, specially on this sunday afternoon, for posting this City FM cut and a little bit of Cousin Matty a the end (got the unedited version at home)
Forgive me fellow jingle madders.

I remember Cut 2, and a shortenned version of Cut 3 (acapella) and Cut 4 Rockin the NW, dont remember Cut 5 the best music but what a jingle
Cut 6: Yes vaguely. Cut 7: Oh, I rember the signal One version 'across stafford and cheshire. Man, did I leave planet earth wen these were made?
Grrr….
I notice they brought back the 'red rose' element to the jingles again.
Oh man, time to burn some Cd's

David.
I`m in no position to pass judgement on anyone`s work as i would not know where to start on producing my own material.
So from a complete laymen, i think these are very good mate.
Keep it up `cos if it`s jingle related it`ll do for me.December 3, 2007 at 3:26 pm #54816sunsetbeach
beams from ear to ear. Cheerz for the comment Rob. Respect

MemberDavid HS…
What you've done there would never actually get used on-air by a station! partly because any “jingle” as such in there would be too long – but mostly because what you've done is TOO GOOD!
The synth and sequencing in there is absolutely excellent, and even a bit of vocoding. Sadly stations now just seem to want the same old “sound” whereas you've done some VERY creative composition in there!
Never mind radio jingles – I'd be exploring the musical side of what you're coming up with! Keep it up!

hey man, lovin the comments. i thought at first it was a negative comment when I read the first sentence.. but thanks man. yeah, thanks for the positive feedback.
everything in Jingle music has alwas been a passion of mine, since turning on City at 12 and hearing the ayjays and one or two alphasounds sneaked in (City FM Lverpool). And with the added bonus of being able to compose/play and mix is an advantage. I have ideas for melodies and jingles all the time.
Re. sequencing, etc. THe montage makes it seem like the jingles are all one endless jingle, I need to work on my transitions, i.e. effects at the start of jingle and a cleaner cut ending, rather than tailing off. I try to be careful to make anythng I do as tight as possible. I dislike anything that isn't exactly in time. Buses for example LOL
The vocals I double tracked and panned hard left and right. And I had great fun makin the robot voice effects hee hee.
I would like to get into the jingle world, because I love jingles. And I have some composition skills and stuff, and the recording studio setup, to make them. But yeah, thanks for those comments man. And I will post up some more stuff soon.
My email add is dhallsmith07@hotmail.co.uk if u wanna message me.
Same goes for you Rob T. thanks 4 the encoragement, and anyone else. Respect D.

MemberKeep on going folks.
According to Mr. Wolfert there are close to 110 stations who have or are using Do It Again.
That has to be close to the total for the Z- series!!JAM THE NUMBER 1 CHOICE FOR JINGLES!!!

MemberHere are Beacon Radios re-sings of Do It Again dated November 1993. For some reason the Travel cut on the master tape is from Z World (it's a composite across four different packages) but I don't think it was used on air till around '95 and then only on Breakfast. The actual cut they used from Do It Again isn't on this reel so I guess it was a top up hence the short version.
WABC Wolverhampton also had versions of this as they shared overnights with Beacon but I don't have them to hand on anything useful at the moment. I might have to get dubbing and post those later. I'm sure they had more cuts from that package than Beacon.http://jinglemad.com/e107_files/public/1197804793_2282_FT51752_beacon_93_dia.mp3 filename:1197804793_2282_FT51752_beacon_93_dia.mp3

Thanks to Jon Wolfert at JAM who has just emailed me with this information about Breakthrough..
“According to our database, Breakthrough cut #1 has been sung at least 125 times, and at least 207 stations worldwide have ordered some or all of Breakthrough.”
Jon also went on to say, the database is a couple of months behind and doesn`t include recent entries.
Pleased to say, I`ve now got 30 resings of Breathrough cut #1 – only 95 to go !!!
Thanks again for the info. Jon.
