September 24, 2006 at 7:03 pm #22697ratnobMemberHey GamesWizard, I have all of these, but couldn't resist listening to them all again. They are so fabulous and define a complete generation of Radio 1 and 2 listeners. I've come over all nostalgic! Thanks for posting.

What's also striking is how Radio 1 picked and chose the cuts they wanted. Even in 1980 they were trawling back through JAM material from a couple of years before. What a great job Johnny Beerling had – choosing all the cuts he liked from the growing JAM archive.

PaulSeptember 25, 2006 at 7:14 am #22707RichardGreat to hear all those Radio 1 jingles. Even better hearing the Radio 2 packages. I wish that JAM would release a CD of all the Radio 1 and 2 cuts they produced. That would be good! Anyway thanks for a brilliant post I really enjoyed it.
RichardSeptember 25, 2006 at 8:39 am #22708JingleMadMemberMaybe Someone should suggest it to Mr Wolfert at Jam.

god he must get p@£ed off with being asked the same question.September 25, 2006 at 4:06 pm #22717martinlesterMemberWhile we would all like to see this happen
(I re-call Spoons even said this on the 30th Birthday CD)
The Chances of it happening are as good as winning the Loto
If Jon did reply I think he would say that
Part of the problem is several of the Radio 2 Cuts have a “new” arrangements compaired to the orignal JAM Demo which would confuse people if they wanted to get a re-sing !September 25, 2006 at 7:50 pm #22721BigdaveWhat a nice surprise this evening whilst on the site stumbling over this thread….
Have just had about 30 minutes of some of JAM's finest work for the BBC blasting out and a good sing along! Now if only they'd release the 1986 cuts (the Magic's In The Music resings etc) in the clear and I'd be a happy little soul!

i know what you mean-i cant be doing with downloading other people's stuff then having to go through the re-labelling process,so i like to label all mine (hopefully i do anyway) sensibly to save anyone else the bother of having to do it again.
