(The reason I don’t download some montages anymore)Pete, is that a dig at me, Geoff, Jeremy, Neal and Paul B? All of us place some sort identifier at the beginning of our montages… it helps people know who’s created them and stops people ripping them off as their own.

Pete they aren’t pointless at all. I bust my f**king ass ading new montages for people to download. The only reason I put sweeper credits at the start and end is because some people palm them off as their own.
Why shouldn’t I get the credit? After all it’s me that took the time and effort to dub, clean up and produce them. Do I ever ask for thanks? No. If people don’t like them they can make their own and I won’t bother. Simple.

MemberAuthorThankfully most of the montages aren’t spoilt that are shared via here…
I done it myself but realised it spoils it.
I like to collect them but its a bit difficult if you have to edit the first and last jingle (or echo it out!)
Personally I don’t care if people are going to say “it’s their montage” as long as its collectable..Each to their own I guess!October 17, 2005 at 1:36 pm #17880TServo2049
Cool, I especially like the tea break jingle (which was always on Radio Ark, but which I was never able to find in the copies I obtained of the package). Amazing how JAM can turn a country jingle into a British-accented tea-time piece!
BTW…as an American, is it true that there is an “official” nationwide tea time (I think it’s 4:00, but I’m not sure)? I sometimes hear that nearly the entire UK puts everything down and has tea at the same time…

Hi wiggers…..
Glad you liked it.
Its Not very often that I get sent something that makes me wet my pants..
Especially something thats almost 30 years old and I assumed I had the complete version of already!
So in the true tradition of glasnost I had to share it with you all
(Maybe some of you had them already!)
If I do get something similar for the other packages then I will do the same again! 😉October 17, 2005 at 1:47 pm #17884UKJingles

Back in the 1950’s,60’s,70’s……
Factory workers used to have Official Tea Breaks..
3pm being the afternoon one (11am I think was the morning)

(The reason I don’t download some montages anymore)Enjoy the Golden era of Jingles!
I`ve touched the 1976 master in Dallas with my bare-hands and smelt the box it is in
In fact if you go Jeffro`s JAM Tour at:
you can hear me muttering “where is the 1976 Radio One master ?”
Nice montage Pete, good to hear the Canteen Call cut at 2.50 !

Neal, I agree with you on the monatge compilation front in that I (as well as you) put my own sweepers in the mix to point out that we are the guys who spend a few hours compiling 5 mins of audio… yes they do take that long and I’d like to feel that the jinglemad community who downlaod them without giving us feedback appreciate them on the whole. With that, I am sure Pete appreciates the effort and time involved in producing them as he also shares some jingle gems with us too. So there you go …my 2 pence worth and am now about to enjoy listening to Pete’s R1 76 package now having typed this and the download has finally finshed.
I like producing montages for my own listening pleasure and it is through this forum that I can share them with other like minded people (Jeremy, Paul Mcgrath, etc). If others choose to download my montages and then delete them or hate them, then frankly its their call. I like my montages as well as the likes of all those who post on these forums…it is why I like our quirky habit.
So there you go… rant over…am now about to go finish off that barrel of Stella I started at lunchtime !!! 😆
All the best,
PaulOctober 18, 2005 at 11:39 pm #17916chad123
that was very good have you got any more radio1 😳 thanks again

Great stuff Pete! Really nice work.
BTW, I personally have no objection to sweepers on montages.
Often the producer deserves much more credit than they actually get on these forums. A lot of work DOES go into them. I (along with others) am sometimes guilty of downloading without saying a quick thanks.
If I had more time, I’d produce montages from time to time – but I sadly don’t at present.
The people who do bust a gut do a fantastic job – and long may that continue. Neal in particular does a terrific job with MP3 Airchecks – and (as recently proved) is more than happy to help out with a full package dub!
So thanks to all you montage producers – keep em coming and feel free to whack a sweeper on if you like! LOL!

That medley is funny Pete!
Tragically, I can just about identify all the bits in there.
We just need a bit of Alan Fawkes counting in at the start and we’re sorted!

MemberThanks for the great radio 1 jingle medley Pete. I thought I had most of them but these had slipped my memory. I remember nearly all of them from when they were originally on the radio but I too didn’t realise there were so many news mixes.
If you have any more please post them.
p.s. Anyone reading this know of any pirate radio scotland jingles from 1967? I’ve been searching for years….cheers.
