      I'm afraid that's one we'll never know.

As TC says! since PAMS more or less formed as a result of KLIF 1190 Dallas thinking of having a live sung “station identification” during live band shows, there's probably no one still living that could truly say (but who knows?…)

So the following is the wrong answer – but it IS PAMS Series 1, cut 1

Good question and good answers…can I put the cat (not Top Cat !) amongst the pigeons and ask, what was the first TM jingle ? – whatever it was, methinks they should play it at the Tom Merriman tribute night.

Indeed it IS PAMS Series 1, Cut #1. But my understanding is that PAMS recut the backing tracks to Series 1 after the original Series 1 for syndication… and no original versions of Series 1 exist.

            Figure that one out…………

Mr. Wolfert… care to comment on this one, please?

Fascinating stuff TC! I was only going by the “Magic of PAMS” set, which is where I pulled that cut.

Just to put ANOTHER feline amongst the proverbials then, what was the first (known) Alfasound
(or perhaps strictly) Tapetrix jingle package or first cut?

Do you imagine what a TM jingle montage WOULD sound like at the tribute?
It would be worth the price of admission just to hear it!!

Well I'll just have to let you know how it is, then. I'll be back in Dallas for it… and just got back after spending three days there.

So are there any recordings of the original KLIF id's in existence?
