Further to MBs comments the other day, there are a number of packages that never made the Alfasound Collector Tapes, including….
BBC Radio Newcastle (1990/91)
Chiltern Network (1995)
Fox FM (1992)
Invicta Supergold (1994)
Mix 96 (1992)
Power FM (1993)
Star FM (1993)
Any more??????????
May 27, 2004 at 11:22 am #13443InfernoRadio Lincolnshire 1995 and i think there was a top up in 97 too.
Lincs FM 1994 and 1996 top up
The Bay
Beacon Radio 1994
Buzz FM 1994
96.5 The Wave
…in fact they repeated a jingle package twice which was annoying. Key 103 i think it was.

I didn’t realise that The Pulse had ‘Energy’ re-sung, so how many more stations had that great package done?

Unfortunately I don’t have any of the Pulse versions, however listed below are a few I remember (numbers refer to cut numbers from the “In the Mix” demo on the JAM website)
6 – Non stop triple play.. on the Pulse
9 – The Pulse.. Non stop triple play
11 – (not sure of lyrics but it was a love zone cut)
12 – The Countdown Hour……. The Pulse
15 – The Alex-Hall phone in… on.. the .. Pulse (Fast-Slow) – Key 103 had a version of this.
xx – The Alex Hall phone in….on……the….Pulse (Med-Med)Rock FM also had a couple of original Energy Cuts in the mid 90s.
Going back to the original topic, one I’d forgotton on this subject is “The New Hallam FM 1993”. I seem to remember that this consisted mainly of Q95 package re-sings, also with a nice version of Hyperlink cut 1. This never appeared on any of the Alfasound Collector volumes either. Shame they’re not still going and we could ask for them to be retrospectively included.

May 27, 2004 at 9:39 pm #13454khow63I know the BBC Newcastle packages from 89/90 never made the collector tapes as the station dealt directly with Jam. They also had a few cuts from Z world and Skywave done in 95 aswell.
May 29, 2004 at 9:35 pm #13461IainJohnstonMemberClyde 1 FM’s excellent JAM re-sings circa 1990-1992 never
appeared – has ANYONE got a copy ??? (I’ve got airchecks
of some of them, somewhere…)May 29, 2004 at 9:54 pm #13462JingleMadMemberAuthorThe 2nd cut of this montage I recently compiled is a JAM jingle – it`s the
only JAM jingle I have for Clyde 1 and like you wixy1360 – I would love to hear the full set. Perhaps the jingleguy could help ???Anyway, enjoy my ONLY JAM jingle for Clyde 1
“The best in the West – 102.5 Clyde 1”

May 30, 2004 at 6:40 am #13463AdminThe Sunshine 855 cuts from 1992 never made it to the collector tapes.
Also, Channel 4 had some Jam cuts through Steve England. These didn’t make it onto the tapes either.
