The 20 something sales assistant gives me a playlist of tired Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffet tunes. I decided to spice it up a bit and add some of these with the music from our former radio station circa 1974. I’m betting when she played the CD her reaction was ???
BTW if anyone has older PAMS WFAA material I would appreciate a copy. I know they had jingles from the split frequency days but of course those no longer exist. Thanks!

Define ” Split Frequency Days ” please.
July 2, 2013 at 4:25 pm #90604Wally_WawroIf you remember your radio history WFAA/WBAP initially shared time on 820. Then when 570 was moved from Wichita Falls, TX, the stations would alternate between 570 and 820, sometimes switching channels every couple of hours. During the weekend of the Kennedy tragedy (November 1963) WFAA-WBAP would go back and forth from 820 to 570 every 2 1/2 hours. It wasn’t until April of 1970 that WFAA-WBAP ended the split frequency operation with WBAP taking 820 and WFAA 570. So any jingles with WFAA-820 would be fun to hear. Same with WBAP 570 or 820!
Today in Dallas, another legendary set of call letters occupies 570, KLIF, with a news and syndicated-brokered talk format. And if you’re curious, what was once KLIF-1190 is now KFXR, also doing brokered talk.
Gamewizard, thanks for fixing the link.

Yup… I remixed some of the classic TM packages for KLIF from the original multitracks a decade ago, omitting the 1190 frequency from the mixes.

The link within your website to skydrive gives the above message Linden.
However, I’m on a public access system at the moment, so it might be filters.
Could someone maybe “test” the link for you from a domestic or business based PC? -
