                i thought it was.i assumed it was a current jingle with it being uploaded and the beijing olympics just finishing (then thought why is radio 2 playing jam).

                        I'm guessing it's from the “Sportsradio” package although some of the cuts were adapted to put in the Radio 2 melody logo.

                          There was a resing for the Olympics of the Simon Mayo top of the hour jingle/bed from the 1992 package on Radio 1 as well wasn't there.

                          There lyrics were “The Breakfast Crew In Barcelona….1FM”

                            Just in case anyone should actually want the music used by BBC TV for their Beijing coverage
                            (sssshhhh!) – its a specially commissioned suite from the people behind “Gorillaz” and the
                            conventional commercial CD is called “Journey to the East” (and I never posted that, OK?!?)
