To OldiesGuy: I'm not sure who you are, but I like very much what you do…
I love the jingles that you posted lately. And the amount is quite amazing. It's very generous and I wanted to tell you that I appreciate deeply.
Very exciting to hear all these packages!
November 6, 2008 at 4:26 pm #63148RjMGot to agree Thierry, A copy of Alfasound tape 27 is one I'm missing, so was pleased to see today's downloads. Especially for The Breeze “Beat '92” re-sings and Fortune 1458's second JAM package. Thanks OldiesGuy!
November 7, 2008 at 2:14 am #63168doplar17Thierry,
Thank you so much for the compliment. The jingles and whatever else will be coming for along time. I have a very large collection from all over and have added just under 4,700 newly aquired CDs. Keep checking back asI plan to post every day.
I also have a web-site of the radio station surveys they used to give out every week. You can check it out a http://www.oldiesgeneration.com. There is also a link there to take you to my on-line radio station.
Thanks again!!
OldiesGuy.
November 7, 2008 at 2:58 am #63169nostalgie4,700 CDs??? Oh my God! I'll have to purchase another external hard drive…
Thanks a zillion times! I feel like entering the “machine à remonter le temps” with all these packages.
It's beautiful.
November 7, 2008 at 3:45 am #63170nostalgieIt keeps growing… I won't be able to go to bed! lol
Thanks again!!!
November 7, 2008 at 4:35 am #63171RobinBlamiresThat's genuine generosity overall. Really good stuff and keep it coming.
November 7, 2008 at 6:33 am #63172ratnobMemberI hadn't noticed until Thierry's post. Amazing – thanks for the generosity and quality. Geoff Barton

Where on earth does one acquire that kind of number of CD's ???? Have you discovered a jingle gold mine somwhere ?
November 7, 2008 at 9:03 pm #63181jingle fanIt's not just the jingles but the chance to hear the clean start and ends that make them so special…..
Thanks Jingle Guy you're a star…..Christmas has come early!!!
November 7, 2008 at 10:23 pm #63186RobinBlamiresReally good to hear the original version of what became Century 21's “Miami's WAXY”.
That and the packages produced from that era onwards really put the company on the jingle map. I'd even say that the Magic 102 versions are better than WAXY-FM.November 9, 2008 at 5:38 pm #63226nostalgieThanks again, and again, and again…
Love those “Viking Mixes” very much!
November 9, 2008 at 5:43 pm #63227IanMemberupsweep and I were just talking about this off line.
What a pleaseure to have someone come along and contribute directly from the off without stating the infamous words we here on here so ften of “I want” or “has anybody got”.
Well done oldies guy. From myself and Upsweep.November 9, 2008 at 6:24 pm #63228WalterEegoGreat idea but lot of artefacts!
So Oldies Guy are you digitising actual Alfasound demo cassettes
straight to 128k mp3 or are you reMp3ing existing mp3 copies?November 9, 2008 at 7:00 pm #63230nostalgieI love artefacts! After all, these packages were not recorded yesterday.
It sounds real to me (like from Reel to Reel). Thanks Oldies Guy!
Anything offered so generously deserves good comment, or no comment (at least in my book).
November 10, 2008 at 4:09 pm #63246IainJohnstonMemberI've downloaded some, and its great as I've got some gaps in my ageing Alfasound
Collector Cassettes demo collection that this is helping to fill! :^)Elmer, if you've got (how many!!!?) CDs coming in, have you got any kind of List/Contents
system in place even for your existing collection, or likely to be available at some stage?November 10, 2008 at 7:45 pm #63260doplar17No listing yet. I am trying to get everything into the system first.
November 10, 2008 at 8:14 pm #63262IainJohnstonMemberThanks – will be interesting to see how his works out!
