This is more a radio music question, so please ignore if irrelevant or read if it’s of interest.
I’ve noticed that some stations play original versions of tracks, whereas others play the ‘sequel track’. The best example seems to be Love the way you lie (part 2) by Rhianna ft Eminem. Most listeners probably don’t even notice, but I wondered if there is a reason for this? Is it simply the same principal that a specialist Rock/R&B station may play the extended mix of a track, whilst the AC sister station plays a 4 minute version?
