MemberAuthorIt’s been pointed out to me that the cut I posted was on the Cooljam demo. I’m still fairly sure Northwave had a second package, so over to JMW…

Yes, there was a second set of custom cuts done for Northwave. But it was only 6 cuts, not enough to make a package out of. Sometimes cuts in that situation get added to other packages, but in this case they are just “orphans”. I suppose we should add them to the end of the original Northwave demo one day, although that is easier said than done.

I always loved that series. In Europe it was sung by Top Format for Brandenburgs BB Radio (Germany) and a station in Riga Latvia. Are there any other resings in Europe?

Thanks for the info, Jon. I can see how a mini-package might not be included on a Demo CD. Hope the ‘orphaned’ cuts make it to the demo, one day.

Viking FM in the People’s Republic of Yorkshire had a few cuts. Further afield, A Network called Gem Radio in the Caribbean had some NW cuts done. That was 1994, so I don’t know if it still exists. Difficult to find info online.

“Gem Radio in the Caribbean”
According to my trusty 1999 edition of WRTH, there indeed was an Gem network based in Trinidad and with relays across
the Caribbean.Today they’re the “Hott” FM (no, no my bad spelling…) and I’ve just heard a sweeper (familiar USA v/o guy) – playlist-wise they
could any station anywhere on 4 continents these days (although it IS 3 in the morning there…)As for the NW second “6 cuts” – could there be something quite rare amongst those for Personal Cuts? ;^)
Would indeed be nice to hear a montage/sample of the actual functional/main cuts.PS – the logo for the original NW package – I hadn’t ever heard that one before first hearing the demo – although
subsequently it appeared as “FM one-oh-two The Bear” in Warwickshire – was that an original JAM creation?September 16, 2016 at 9:00 am #100653MarcMannetje

MemberHow have I never noticed until now that “82.5 Northwave” and “Power 99FM” used identical musical logos on their JAM packages? Wow. I’m slipping…
