Sounds like a ReelWorld knock off. Nothing specialized here. A production guy in a radio station could match or far exceed and outdo. No disrespect but damn.

I totally agree with what you’re saying here. Again, it’s no disrespect to LFM because many jingle producers are knocking this stuff out for Hot AC & CHR stations. I have a studio sound module & keyboard that can do most of these ‘jingle’ tracks (not that I can play at all well).
It’s not a dig at the producers of these types of packages, they are simply producing packages that match the music format. Hot AC & CHR these days is (mostly) just synthetic music, looped, sampling and effects. Therefore, we have jingles of like these. I can no longer listen to these formats, I guess it’s an age thing!

Jingles like this makes one hope JAM sticks around (in one form or another)…

I don’t see any problem with this one.
Feels more like an affordable alternative to those expensive “swingle” packs most major companies offer.
As much I love “swingles”, this feels a bit… okay. Not good, just okay to me.

                “Swingle”
                ???
                Not a term I recognise?

                  Sweepers + Jingles = “Swingles”
                  Simple as that.

Tracks are good. Fresh and modern
                    Vocals need some work.

So I’m a bit surprised by this frightening classification of these jingles. Where’s your respect? Yes, in my opinion the jingles aren’t really great either, the vocal group is not there yet, but at some point you start somewhere, right?
Give the producer some time to gain experience and don’t immediately destroy him with your ratings.

By the way, I think you’re all too focused on JAM. Do not get me wrong, I love JAM, I grew up with it and I purchased JAM resings through Top Format in the Netherlands who blew it up but thats another story. Sometimes you have to accept other companies, other things, formats and other production methods and go with the flow at some point. Otherwise this will become a very old club with +70 year old members.

I deleted my post. if 2 people only respond with ‘LFM is an older company’ then it’s clear to me that they don’t understand the point or that they only want to criticise others.

LFM have been around since 2004 – means they’re probably as old as PAMS were eventually?

ompro – I don’t think the comments here were all that mean-spirited, plus you yourself said you weren’t crazy about the vocals. Are we not allowed to have opinions? I would happen to agree that while the production value is decent, the vocals leave something to be desired. But LFM is a lower-budget company for whatever that’s worth.

And yes, most of us do love JAM and other classic stuff. I get that the old Dallas style is largely a retro thing now, that styles need to evolve, and I do think there is a good amount of well-produced modern jingles out there. But in all honesty, and with all due respect to today’s producers, I’m not sure I’d be a jingle anorak if I had only been exposed to CHR jingles from the last 20 years. Just a matter of personal taste. And I’m under 40 for the record.

I never stated the opposite. And I apologize if it came across like that.
Everyone’s entitled for their opinion but lately it feels in here like a club of “anything that is not like JAM is not good haters”, get me?

Maybe I was too touchy but I know how it is when you start things and I think this guy just starts a thing.

Also a real problem in here is that if ppl like Reelworld stuff, they are punished right away.
Some tolerance would be nice. I have heard stunning vocal arrangements by a guy who worked for them, I also heard crap from them. Its all a matter of perspective I guess.

I am 56 years old. I love Jingles from the 40s to the 80s, some 90s and I confess I like todays ReelWorld and Wise Buddah stuff, too. Plus I produce my own Jingles and Sonovox in German which nobody else does. Where does this put me to according to your books?

You know, open minded people wouldn’t post stuff like you did. You obviously felt personally attacked, WOW. This was never my intention.

For an internet only project, this is too much for too little. LFM is what I would call, the high end of the budget jingle companies. Their product is no TM, Ignite or ReelWorld.. but for a terrestrial with a limited budget.. it’s better than nothing and compared with the other “budgets” out there, it is one of the better ones. For internet projects, just wait for iJingles to open up again. I recently got 8 cuts for $2K and they sound beyond awesome.

It’s just that the vocals need to be improved little by little.
