New Reelworld jingles on The Breeze

      Really liking these new jingles that went on air last weekend on The Breeze, and JMer Prometheus has now posted a montage of them on soundcloud …

      The Breeze – Reelworld 2012 by radioresponse

      A bright refreshing sound, a strapline that doesn’t mention ‘music’, ‘more’ or ‘variety’, and no ‘woah’ ‘ahh’ lyrics :)

        And even a good old “Christmas cut”!

        Only one thing – if stations shorten their names right down to a single sylable as is so much the trend now, the jingle companies have to pad it out again with “This is” to make the name “detectable” to listeners again. The ultimate in “That was, This Is” radio.

        Actually quite tidy production, less-aggressive vocals, and a return to some decent lyrics and tag-lines (e.g. “A Gentle Breeze”).. There’s hope for Jingle-Land yet… :)

          @jonno which ‘breeze’ would this be ? I just picked up the stream for North Dorset’s Breeze and the TOH was one of the WB cuts … I like the audio posted mind, love it :)

            Hi Simon. The new jingles are on air across the network, but oddly they have not updated the news in/toh as you have noticed. Incidentally I had always assumed the original imaging was Music4.

              I like the feel of these very much – as always with ReelWorld, the tracks appeal to me more than the vocals.

                @jonno, hi ya, apols it certainly is Music4 !!! my bad lols … as for the airing, perhaps one of these play log glitches you get sometimes, or whilst a new TOH is created ? in any case I love the sound of these RW cuts so thanks for posting those :)

                  Glad you like them..
                  The TOH is still the same at the moment to allow a transition into the new sound. New TOH news sequence will be airing in the next week or so. Mostly from Reelworld One AC plus a couple of older cuts too..
                  Currently 10 cuts – with all US vocals (plus custom travel and news) delivered just before Christmas. Unashamedly big vocal sound with a gradual freshening of imaging sound as well. Reelworld will post a produced montage v soon..
