I agree. I am a fan of the NRK P1 series. Mind you, these were composed, arranged and recorded in Europe. It makes them less screamy (in my opinion) than most USA packages for AC radio these days.

And more interesting, musically spoken. Better instrumentation. There is more emotion in them. More pace. More variety.

I didn’t here a syndicated version of them though, until now.

Reelworld did some re-sings of the 2016 package for The Breeze radio in the UK and the Radio Sonora network in Indonesia.

          Never heard those, thanks!

Interesting how Reelworld is pitching these cuts as an AC package while NRK P1 is a full service generic station.

From here in Alaska, I’ve heard NRK P1 on Norway’s only remaining AM transmitter, the 1000 watt 1485kHz at Longyearbyen, Svalbard.. several times. Neat to hear the jingles!

In addition to the NRK P1 package I would like to share the package Reelworld Europe made for RTE Radio 1 (Ireland). What a great, emotional, spot on package is this:

Just listen to the cuts for the weekend, evenings and the classical one. I cannot remember being so touched by music made for radio in a long time… Great composing, arrangements and orchestration.

Now, this is a work of art. I can say that Reelworld Europe really does a lot of, let’s say~
                Exceedingly Great Jingles

The last time I checked the RTE site and re-listened some shows, I did not hear this package being used at all. Was it just a pilot and didn’t they take it on air?

I’ll probably check the live stream for that. Otherwise, this could be a Y92* situation.
(*apparently, RW once made a package for Sacramento’s Y92, but was never aired)

That’s wonderful. This packages deserves a large audience.

What a difference in styles by the way, between US and EU Reelworld…
